Nails Inc Fashion’s Night Out
- by Playing with Polish
Fashion’s Night Out is a fabulous blue-grey metallic. It looks like a silvery gunmetal with a touch of blue in the bottle, but once on the nail the blue really comes out to play. This is a really cool color!
Application was excellent. This polish was quite opaque and almost provided full coverage in one coat. Two coats and a top coat shown.
Christmas Stuff
- by Playing with Polish
This year for Christmas my husband gave me a number of goodies from my wish list, but he also surprised me with some fun nail stuff. I recently organized my nail polish and labeled items that were “swatched,” “untried,” etc. He checked my nail polish bins and blog to determine what I didn’t already have, so he could decided what to get. He was right I didn’t have them, and I was so touched. I loved the research and thought that went into the gift!
I managed to break my thumbnail pretty badly yesterday (and attempted a repair), so hopefully I will still have have length to my nails. However even if I end up trimming my nails all the way down, my sappy self is cheered by my sweet husband.
I still wish I was a bit less clumsy though!
I am hoping to try my hand at a bit of frankening in the coming year. It seems like the glitter is going to make a huge mess, but it sounds like fun!
Nails Inc. Houses of Parliament
- by Playing with Polish
Houses of Parliament is a dark purple metallic polish. It is the purple sister to Trafalgar Square and has the same magnetic cap that transforms the polish into a chevron pattern. I love it!
I wore it to the grocery store, and both the checker and the bagger were grabbing my hands to get a better look at my nails. Needless to say that made me feel pretty good
Application was very good. I did touch the magnetic top to my nail a few times, but it patched easily.
Nails Inc. Trafalgar Square
- by Playing with Polish
It took me a while to jump on the magnetic polish bandwagon, but boy am I glad I did! I thought it looked ok on other people, but I was not sure it was for me. In the bottle Trafalgar Square looks like a dark grey shimmer polish. I really love shimmery gray polish, so even if it was just that I would like this polish
But using the magnetic cap to create the chevron stipe effect is really easy, and it looks really cool! I was totally surprised but how much I like it!
I only bought Trafalgar Square, but I think I am going to buy the purple polish too (Houses Of Parliament)!
Application was very good. You have to apply a thin layer of polish on each nail, and then a thick layer. Right after applying the second layer you use the magnetic cap while the polish is still wet (do one nail at a time). I accidentally touched the magnetic cap to my nails a few times, but I was able to patch that up fairly easily. Two coats and a top coat shown.
Have you hopped on the magnetic polish bandwagon? If so, which are your favorites?
