Splash of Grenadine is a purplish-pink crème from Essie’s Resort collection. This is a fun, feminine color. I wore this for four days without any chipping, and I got a compliment from a friend that I did not think ever notices my nail polish!

I am not sure I understand the name though. Grenadine is bright red! Mix a splash of it in a cocktail, and it is still red

When I first saw the Essie Resort Collection promo pics, I really liked all of the colors. I couldn’t wait to buy all of them. When I saw at the local beauty supply store, I was not sure I liked them as much I really love blues though, so I decided I would take a chance and get Lapis of Luxury. It sat on my coffee table for a while in my nail polish “swatching  queue.” Both my husband and a friend remarked that they thought the color was boring, so it sat for a while longer than it would have otherwise. I agree that it does look a tad dull in the bottle, but fortunately I really do like it on me

Lapis of Luxury is a breezy summery blue crème. I might have to give the other Resort Collection colors a try! The sunlight picture is much more true to life. My hand looks a bit red in the indoor pictures, but that is not what my eye saw.
