Sephora by OPI Halloween 2010
- by Playing with Polish
This year I have been having a lot of fun with holiday polish.
Kitty Loves Black
Kitty Loves Black is a slightly sheer dark charcoal grey with teal shimmer. I like it! The shimmer gives it a nice depth on the nail. I could see myself wearing this beyond Halloween.
Please excuse the cat hair that sneaked into this picture!
Application was good. Two coats and a top coat shown.
If You’ve Got It Haunt It
A chunky multi-colored glitter in a somewhat sheer soft black/dark charcoal base. It is pretty opaque after two coats. This is ok, but I don’t love it. I think I would like it better if the glitter was a bit more fine, or if it was a holo glitter.
Application was a bit uneven, but a top coat leveled it a bit. Two coats and a top coat shown.
Full Moon
Full Moon is a white crème. It does glow in the dark, but not very strongly. For the price, $9 a bottle, I expect a bit more. A $3 drugstore glow in the dark polish would probably perform just as well.
Application was a bit streaky and uneven. It dried a soft matte, but needed a top coat to even it out. Three coats and a top coat shown.
Kitty Loves Black is pretty, but overall I liked Color Club’s Bewitching set more than these.

Sephora by OPI Rocker Chic
- by Playing with Polish
Rocker Chic is Sephora by OPI’s new fall collection. There are nine new colors. Here are the five that appealed most to me.
Do I Know You?
A pinkish-beige crème.
Application was very good. Two coats and a top coat shown.
Dating the Drummer
Based on the pictures and description on Sephora’s website, “sheer warm walnut with fine holographic glitter”, I was expecting something different. I would not describe the polish as particularly sheer, and I was hoping for more glitter. It is pretty, but subtle and not as exciting as I had hoped it would be.
Application was very good. Two coats and a top coat shown.
Rock His World
A dark brownish- red crème.
Application was very good. Two coats and a top coat shown.
Club Scene Queen
Smoky with fine teal glitter. Sephora describes this polish as being sheer, and it sure is! This polish had promise, and I would have really liked this one if it was more opaque.
Application was so-so. This polish is pretty sheer, and I had issues with bald spots. Even after three coats there is still a distinctive visible nail line
Three coats shown.
Just a Little Dangerous
A lovely metallic purple with pink and blue shimmer. It is no surprise that this one is by far my favorite!
Application was very good. Two coats and a top coat shown.
Overall this is a nice fall collection. I would have liked a bit more shimmer and glitter though! Given the name, I would have expected it to be a bit more edgy or fun.
Sephora by OPI Teal We Meet Again
- by Playing with Polish
Teal We Meet Again is from Sephora by OPI’s 2010 summer Havana Nights collection. In the bottle it shows a blue/green/teal duochrome effect (especially under the bright lights at our local Sephora). It is not as strong on the nail though. It applied as a dark shimmery teal. Very pretty!
Application was very good with full opacity in two coats.
Two coats and a top coat shown.
Sephora by OPI Techno Girl
- by Playing with Polish
I love this time of year! We almost always have beautiful weather here in Northern California, but this time of year I feel an irresistible urge to spend time outside and smell the spring air! Although Techno Girl is not part of Sephora by OPI’s Modern Flowers collection it strikes me as being a floral color.
Sephora’s website Techno Girl as being “vivid azalea.” Many of the azaleas I have seen are more of a purplish pink, but overall I would say that is an accurate description of this bright pink crème.
Application was smooth, but the formula was a bit more sheer than I expected with a color this bright. It took three coats for totally opaque coverage. The pictures are of three coats with a top coat.
This is a fun summery shade that I will enjoy wearing. The color is bright, but quite wearable for most any situation (depending on your job of course). I love the name too!
