Zoya Tanzy
- by Playing with Polish
Tanzy is another beauty that I picked-up in their year’s polish exchange. It part of Zoya’s Sunshine Collection. I am not usually that into orange, but Tanzy is an exception. The bright juicy orange and gold flecked finish is gorgeous! While offering opaque coverage, this polish seems to have an almost translucent glow. Tanzy is such a beautiful, summery color!
Application was excellent. Two coats and a top coat shown.
Go, Go Cancer Fighting Ninja! :-)
- by Playing with Polish
Last week in my graphic design class our assignment was to add creative captions to an image. One of the other students had an image of broccoli as a “cancer fighting ninja!” I commented that it looked tasty even though I was not a big fan of broccoli. Later she sent me a link Broccoli For Jessica – how cool is that?!? As a habitual broccoli avoider I was a bit skeptical, but I did want to avail myself of the “ninja’s” cancer fighting powers. So I went out and got myself a bunch. Yummy! My mom would be so proud! Here I am eating a whole bowl of broccoli without any coercion!
Orly Royal Velvet
- by Playing with Polish
Royal Velvet is from Orly’s spring 2011 Precious collection. Royal Velvet has a dark purple base with an intense blue shimmer. The shimmer gives this polish a lot of dimension, and it really does look a bit like velvet. What can I say? I LOVE IT! Shimmery, rich and delicious purple goodness – It doesn’t get much better than this! I plan to reach for this polish again and again.
The wear is pretty good too. Of course this polish was destined to be a full manicure, and I have been wearing it for three days. I have a little bit of tip wear, but no nicks or chips in sight. Application was very good. It took three coats for maximum opacity, but it went on very smoothly. Three coats and a top coat shown.
Just having fun – nail of the day
- by Playing with Polish
Just a quick nail of the day post
I really love China Glaze’s Señorita Bonita (swatch coming soon) but I decided to jazz it up a bit more with a coat of Mavala’s Agena and a coat of CND Effects Ice Blue Shimmer. Pretty!
